Dallas-Ft. Worth area shops donated a $2,000 paint job and skilled bodywork that turned an old yellow 56-passenger school bus into a shining green and white vehicle. Those are the colors of Happy Hill Farm, which over the past 40 years has protected, inspired and helped hundreds of youngsters in crisis get back on their feet. “What a contrast! The before and after is remarkable! Your men do great work!” wrote Founder C. Edward Shipman. “We are very, very grateful for your friendship, interest, and support of our program for at-risk children.” The centers learned of the program through their participation in the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, which has worked with Happy Hill Farm since 1978. The Farm receives no state, federal, or local tax funding or United Way grants.
