“Maaco can paint your ride without breaking the bank,” advised the March issue of Sport Truck magazine. Technical Editor Calin Head had brought his ’89 standard cab longbed S-10 to Maaco in Orange, Calif. Once there, he saved “a boatload of cash” with a $549 Presidential and $229 Prep Plus. Featuring over 20 photos, the article concludes, “the paint is nice and slick. The job was well within our budget, and the results are far beyond what was expected. “…We will be driving this truck to some shows, so hopefully you can come and see the paint in person. We think it just might change your thoughts about having a national chain paint your ride. It did for us.”
