A black DARE vehicle tricked out with colorful decals is turning heads as it cruises the streets of Clarksville, Tenn. Some of the first people to get their hands on the SUV were teenagers in the Clarksville Police Department’s Operation Turnaround who prepared the SUV to be painted at Mitch Rollins’ Maaco center. “It meant a lot to my guys to get involved a make a difference in these kids’ lives. It makes us better people, too,” Mitch said. He’s is an enthusiastic supporter of the program, which gives teens who have been in trouble with the law a chance to get their lives back on track. Through mentorship from officers and volunteers, these students learn trades and are better equipped to make good choices.
