Maaco’s first center in Newmarket, Ont., had an exciting opening. People came from 40 miles away to Darren and Erin Carroll’s celebration. A popular radio d.j. did 12 live cut-ins. Up and coming American Hockey League star Jeremy Williams signed sticks and photos, while Toronto Maple Leafs mascot Duke entertained younger fans. The state-of-the-art facility is kept super-clean. “That’s part of being a team,” Erin said, “and the employees all care about having the same feel and look and future.” The Carrolls joined the Chamber of Commerce, and Erin belongs to a businesswomen's networking association. They plan to be involved in community charities.
