The power of the Maaco brand continues to draw attention from industry trade magazines. The February 2009 issue of Auto Body News featured Corpus Christi, Texas, franchisee Glenda Kelley’s enthusiastic take on the annual Convention and Maaco’s direction. Glenda has been a franchise for 13 years and was previously an employee there for 16 years. “With 475 stores, the chain has a big footprint that gives it unique capabilities in advertising, national fleet account development, and creating new markets in the industry,” pointed out the magazine, which is distributed to body shop owners in the Southwest and on the West Coast. This month, Auto Body News will follow-up by interviewing with Maaco Co-Chairman Mark Martino.
